GATEWAY

Two arrowhead forms, 2.85 metres x 85 centimetres in plaster photographed in artists studio, Battersea London. OM 2005.

Commissioned by the John Family in 2005 and cast in bronze. The two pieces are installed a set distance apart in order to create a maximum tension in relationship to eachother as well as to suggest an imaginary doorway/space through which the viewer can walk. The sculptures are sited permanently in Florida.

The forms are deceptively simple and literal are intended to create a feeling for the viewer of walking onto an outdoor stage set, where symbolic structures serve to 'heighten' the significance of the location for the participant. The forms seen in the photograph are sited permanently in Florida.
